responsibilities

As a Linux System Administrator, you’ll have to maintain, upgrade and manage the company software, hardware and networks and your duties will be following:

• Install and configure software and hardware
• Manage network servers and technology tools
• Set up accounts and workstations
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
• Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

requirements

In order for your profile to match the Linux System Administrator position, you need to have the following skills:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Linux in a server environment, either from professional or personal experience
• Knowledge of web deployments using Nginx / MySQL /Redis as a stack
• Knowledge of web hosting control panels such as Parallels Plesk or Cpanel
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts
• Ability to provide IT administration & support to the office
• Very good communication skills in both Greek and English
• Completed military obligations, if applicable
