HERFF JONES, Machine Operator 2 nd Shift – Arcola IL

YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
The Herff Jones Cap and Gown team, based in Arcola IL, is looking for a machine operator to join our 2nd shift embroidery team.

Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact:
Reporting to the manufacturing supervisor you will be responsible for preparing the garment in the appropriate hoop as well as setting the correct design and colors for application. Other duties include logging production flow and rejected product, checking finished product to see if it meets quality standards specified in the standard operating procedures manual, and helping the Supervisor or Lead as needed.

Will learn to meet production and quality standards for this operation.

Will learn all aspects of embroidery production.

Will learn about all product lines.

Ability to select material by quality standards, colors, styles and shades.

Ability to recognize colors and different cloth styles.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Must have adequate computer skills.

Must be self-motivated.

Reading, writing and math skills commensurate with job duties.

Physical strength and dexterity to perform essential job functions.

Must be able to recognize colors and different cloth styles.

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Job may require lifting to, but not exceeding 30 pounds.

Must be able to work all mandatory overtime
