Muslim & Arab American Resource Corps

Service Description : The Muslim & Arab-American Resource Corps (MAARC) brings together Americans from all backgrounds to address the unmet critical needs of underserved communities, with an emphasis on the Muslim & Arab-American population in Southern California. In an effort to empower and strengthen the communities they serve, the ten MAARC members act as community servants to provide culturally and linguistically competent employment, health access services, educational enrichment, and social and emotional support to beneficiaries. These services are designed to strengthen the economic stability and increase access to needed health services. MAARC members will also create opportunities for community volunteers to become civically engaged and be a part of community solutions. Through their service, MAARC members enhance the quality of life of underserved individuals and families.

Member Duties : : AmeriCorps members will be trained as case managers to deliver a range of health and human services including health access services, employment services, educational enrichment and mental health case management
