Our New York location is currently seeking full time pastry cook to join our team!
POSITION SUMMARY
The Pastry Cooks are responsible for the daily preparation, baking, and finishing of all desserts, and any other specified baked good in accordance with the Milos quality standards and specifications.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily production and preparation of desserts, pastries, and other related items
- Ability to learn, understand, and to execute daily recipes and menus
- Following recipes with accuracy to ensure consistency in production
- Maintain a clean and orderly station and adhere to health and safety standards
- Inspects orders to ensure high quality and presentation
- Perform job functions with minimal supervision
- Work cohesively with entire culinary staff as part of a team
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Culinary Degree or Certification
- At least 2 year Restaurant/Bakery/Kitchen experience as a Pastry Cook or relevant position
- An understanding of Department of Health food safety standards
- Sense of urgency and comfort in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to stay positive and calm under pressure
- Ability to multitask
- Flexible schedule and open availability (full-time) to meet business needs
