Position Summary:
Responsible for recommending and instituting best practice tools and methodology towards standardization of deliverables and procedures, and collaborating with Developers and QA Leads to uphold and improve our SDLC processes. Solicits, understands, and documents business requirements, user stories, processes and workflows; develops both written and visual depictions of requirements and process. Works with developers to create the functional specifications that meet those requirements, serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to the developers building those functions, and works with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to test the developed functionality. Partners effectively with all levels of the organization, influences others, drives results, proactively identifies and resolves problems, and makes challenging decisions. Ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains understanding of customer workflows and business needs; gathers requirements and helps build and document specifications and user stories for development.

Delivers precise business requirements to include user stories, functional hierarchy, workflow, business rules, interface design and definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis, and data mapping to clients and development staff.

Responsible for direct interaction with clients including, but not limited to, eliciting comprehensive business requirements, use cases and recommending appropriate solutions.

Works with Technical team to develop high level labor estimates to develop and deploy functionality.

Conducts gap analysis between the existing application and the stated customer requirements to best collaborate with Architects, Developers, etc. to estimate project impacts.

Works with Development, QA, and Production Support teams to communicate, verify, and test the desired changes.

Works with clients to demonstrate the changes to the system to ensure all relevant business needs are addressed.

Manages multiple competing priorities through effective planning, organization and communication.

Recommends and implements best practices, proper methodology and the correct tools for the job.

Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:
Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position.

Moderate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Effective organizational and time management skills.

Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross functional departments.

Ability to make informal and formal presentations, inside and outside the organization; speaking before assigned team or other groups as needed.

Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in nonstandardized situations.

Understanding of business analysis principles, processes, and techniques.

Ability to create use cases, functional, and technical requirements.

Ability to understand and represent the needs of the end user in a software development environment.

Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.

Minimum (3) + years process modeling and systems analysis experience on complex systems, preferably

Loan Origination, Banking and/or Financial systems.

Experience with traditional SDLC and rapid development methodologies

Project management experience is a plus, as well as a familiarity with .NET development techniques and practices.

Black Knight Empower and/or Mortgage Origination Platform experience preferred.

Experience with complex data varying analytical and technical specifications.

Above average experience in the systems & process design and implementation space and have experience with low, medium and high effort software implementation projects.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and work experience required.
