This Production Associate role would be working specifically as a Machine Operator in our Covers Creation facility in Indianapolis, IN.

We are fast-tracking the hiring process. Thirty minute interviews will be held by appointment Monday – Thursday from 11:30am – 1pm beginning July 19th, 2021.

This is a Regular, Full-time position with benefit eligibility including, medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), paid time off, and additional voluntary benefits. There are no long waiting periods, as benefits begin the first of the month after hire date, and 401(k) participation starts the first of the month after 30 days.

Shift: Standard shift is 6:00am – 4:45pm Monday through Thursday. (3 day weekends!)

Hours fluctuate to ten- and twelve-hour days if needed during peak season including Saturdays and Sundays if necessary due to customer demand. Seasons vary between January through end of May.

As a member of the Indy Production Team, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment printing high school and college announcements and diplomas to help our customers celebrate some of their greatest achievements. What You’ll Be Doing On A Daily Basis:
Follow standard operating procedures, maintain a neat and organized work area.

Perform routine adjustments safely during the press run and maintain quality throughout the run.

Perform all assigned work effectively and on schedule.

Follow and maintain safe manufacturing practices when working with all machinery.

Maintain records of daily production, using paper and electronic forms (Microsoft Excel).

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Team player and do what it takes attitude when other duties are assigned based on business demand.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:
High School or GED required

Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is a plus

Proven ability (1 year or more preferred) to excel in a high production manufacturing environment which focuses on safety, quality control, and organization

Ability to learn new systems/technology with understanding some work is processed manually

Demonstrated success operating commercial printing equipment preferred

Multiple examples of assisting teammates and working across different departments for short on long periods

Previous success maintaining a strong attendance and on time record

What We Want You to Accomplish:
First 30 Days:
Read detailed work orders to determine setup specifications and efficiently set up your assigned machine.

Learn to operate a variety of machines (Offset Press, Windmill, Engraving and others) efficiently and safely to accurately produce world class print products (Diplomas, graduation announcements, etc.).

First 60 days:
Initiate trial runs to verify accuracy of machine setup.

First 90 Days:
Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.

Physical Requirements:
Daily activity includes but is not limited to lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting

Reading, communication, simple math

Standing on a fatigue mat in a specific area throughout a 10 hour+ shift

Be able to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to above
