HERFF JONES, Production Control Clerk – Arcola, IL
Your Opportunity:
The Herff Jones Production team is looking for a Production Control Clerk to join our team in Arcola,IL.
This is a full-time position.
Shift: 7:00 a.m.-3:30pm Monday – Friday.
Hours vary due to peak season Monday through Friday
Overtime needed during peak season including Saturdays or Sundays based on seasonal demand.
Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact:
As a member of our production team, you will be responsible for supporting and monitoring the on-going orders coming from customer service to the manufacturing facility of all product lines being offered. Knowledge for computer systems is required in this position to properly monitor order operations.
Position Summary:
The Production Control Clerk is responsible for supporting and monitoring the on-going operations of the manufacturing facility of all product lines being offered. This includes daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting. An above average knowledge for computer systems is required in this position to properly monitor and analyze the daily operations of the facility. Seasonal demand may require work on Saturdays and or Sundays, if applicable.
What we want you to accomplish:
- Act as a liaison between customer service, manufacturing, and distribution center management by communicating as needed with the team and internal customers regarding order specifications
- Continually educate yourself on new or improved Herff Jones business systems. Seek out
alternative processes and improvements to all job functions
- Monitor scheduled dates to assure work is completed by the scheduled dates
- Participate in cross-training in other departments as needed
Core Activities:
- Prepare work tickets for manufacturing. This may include creation of box labels to properly identify products
- Create and maintain spreadsheets as needed for data collection
- Report scheduling conflicts to Production Control Supervisor when they cannot be resolved
- Perform routine transactions utilizing the Herff Jones manufacturing business system. Examples of items are inventory adjustments, process movements, job creation, job completions, and job tracking
- Other responsibilities as needed and assigned related to the Herff Jones business

- Flexibility to work in other departments as necessary

High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous success in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
