Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs in the Division of Student Affairs. This position reports to the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs. The Program Coordinator is one of five full-time professionals working with the Rutgers fraternity/sorority community. The RU fraternity/sorority community serves as a vibrant home to over 3500 students who are members of 27 Interfraternity Council, 27 Multicultural Greek Council, 11 Panhellenic Association, and 11 Professional Fraternity Council chapters. The Program Coordinator will advise the Professional Fraternity Council (PFC) and work directly with individual council and chapter officers. Among the key duties of this position are the following: • Supports and enhances council and chapter officer development within the University’s fraternity/sorority community. • Advises a variety of chapter programming officers (Academic, Brother/Sisterhood, Philanthropy, Service, and Treasurers) by providing monthly support and one on one coaching. • Advises students through the program planning process, assists with regulations, procedures, risk management, and budgetary considerations. • Administers the OFSA membership and service/philanthropy databases. • Administers the chapter academic probation process. • Plans and executes the fall and spring awards program.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. • Requires a minimum of one year of experience leading and/or advising undergraduate fraternities/sororities.
Certifications/Licenses
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree. • Experience advising co-ed professional fraternities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of issues and challenges facing undergraduate students in general and members of fraternities and sororities in particular. • Must be self-motivated, team oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. • Ability to communicate and relate effectively to a multi-cultural community is essential.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability and willingness to work outside of normal working hours. Frequent night and weekend work is required.
