As an inside sales representative, you will serve as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to our Church and Judicial Apparel customers and our dealers. The Sales Associate builds and maintains strong, long-lasting relationships with our customer’s decision-makers. The successful employee manages the sale from initial interest to follow-up after product delivery to maximize company profit. Continuous interaction with senior leaders and key decision makers throughout the organization is expected.
Our ideal candidate will be a structured thinker, skilled at breaking down complex, high-level ideas into short and long-term features. You are naturally customer-centric – working backward from their needs and thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical and business judgment and exemplary communication skills. This individual will need to exhibit excellent decision making — prioritizing between existing versus new customers and between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence. We are looking for someone that is self-motivated, sales-minded and is not afraid to sell over the phone to help take us to the next level. .

Exercise discretion and independent judgement in liaison role between our Customers (eg.: Church leaders, bookstores and Judicial court representatives) and internal production, warehouse and shipping managers.
Manage relationships to maximize company profit yet maintain goodwill and long term commitment with Customers. Balance the needs of the Customer with the established policies of Herff Jones by exercising sound conflict management practices.
Serve as product line expert and advisor to Customers.
Operate as the lead point of contact and trusted advisor on all matters specific to the Customers.
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of the Murphy Robes products according to Customer needs.
Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services.
Staying informed about competing products and services.
Upselling products and services.
Researching and qualifying new leads.
Closing sales and achieving sales targets
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years of business related experience.
Demonstrated ownership of the full life cycle of a product from conception to delivery to maturity including strategy and definition, feature roadmap, delivery, and tradeoffs of a product, end to end product delivery.
Experience contributing to implementation discussions around technology decisions and strategies related to a product.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
