JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Specialists Department as a Produce Specialist. This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Specialists Team with objectives including:

• Establishing produce sales objectives and
• Managing all produce sales initiatives and activities in order to fulfill these objectives.

WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:

• Be responsible for all produce sales
• Track produce market trends and pricing
• Organize and conduct training sessions for sales force and customers to increase produce product knowledge
• Field customer and sales personnel inquiries regarding produce items and seasonal trends
• Work in the field with sales force to generate new produce accounts and increase current account penetration
• Help negotiate all EDR and marketing programs
• Represent Nicholas and Company at all Markon meetings
• Maintain and develop annual budgets for Nicholas produce and Markon cases
• Manage perishable spoilage and customer return issues

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

• At least one year professional experience in a related field
• Experience with Purchasing or with working closing with Purchasing departments
• Proficiency using Windows 7 or 10 and Microsoft Office
• The ability to work effectively, both independently, and as a member of a team
• The ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment, strong organization skills are imperative
• Excellent follow through with ability to interface with multiple departments, agencies and individuals
• The ability to work well within deadlines while self-motivated
