JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Specialists Department as a Produce Specialist. This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Specialists Team with objectives including:
- Establishing produce sales objectives and
- Managing all produce sales initiatives and activities in order to fulfill these objectives.
WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:
- Be responsible for all produce sales
- Track produce market trends and pricing
- Organize and conduct training sessions for sales force and customers to increase produce product knowledge
- Field customer and sales personnel inquiries regarding produce items and seasonal trends
- Work in the field with sales force to generate new produce accounts and increase current account penetration
- Help negotiate all EDR and marketing programs
- Represent Nicholas and Company at all Markon meetings
- Maintain and develop annual budgets for Nicholas produce and Markon cases
- Manage perishable spoilage and customer return issues
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- At least one year professional experience in a related field
- Experience with Purchasing or with working closing with Purchasing departments
- Proficiency using Windows 7 or 10 and Microsoft Office
- The ability to work effectively, both independently, and as a member of a team
- The ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment, strong organization skills are imperative
- Excellent follow through with ability to interface with multiple departments, agencies and individuals
- The ability to work well within deadlines while self-motivated
