Position Summary:
Responsible for acting as an advanced professional in the systems and process design and implementation space, focusing on low, medium, and high effort software implementation projects. Solicits, understands, and documents the customer’s business requirements, processes, and workflows developing both written and visual depictions of requirements and process flows. Works with developers to create the functional specifications that meet those requirements, serves as subject matter expert (SME) to the Developers building those functions, and works with the QA team to test the developed functionality. Recommends and institutes business analysis best practices, tools, and methodology towards standardization of deliverables and procedures, and collaborates with Developers and QA Leads to uphold and improve SDLC processes. Ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains understanding of customer workflows and business needs.

Delivers precise business requirements to include functional hierarchy, workflow, business rules, interface design and definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis, and data mapping to clients and development staff.

Responsible for direct interaction with clients including, but not limited to, eliciting comprehensive business requirements and use cases and recommending appropriate solutions.

Gathers requirements and helps build and document specifications for development.

Works with Technical team to develop high level labor estimates to develop and deploy functionality.

Conducts gap analysis between the existing application and the stated customer requirements to best collaborate with Architects, Developers, etc. to estimate project impacts.

Works with Development, QA, and Production Support teams to communicate, verify, and test the desired changes.

Works with clients to demonstrate changes to the system to ensure all relevant business needs are addressed.

Manages multiple competing priorities through effective planning, organizations, and communication.

Recommends and implements best practices, proper methodology, and the correct tools for success.

Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:
Experience with traditional SDLC and rapid development methodologies required.

Experience in the Mortgage industry preferred.

Experience with complex data varying analytical and technical specifications required.

Project management experience is a plus, as well as familiarity with .NET development techniques and practices.

Black Knight Empower and/or Mortgage Origination Platform experience preferred.

Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position.

Demonstrates team leadership and staff development skills.

Demonstrates understanding of business analysis principles, processes, and techniques.

Ability to create use cases, functional, and technical requirements.

Ability to understand and represent the needs of the end user in a software development environment.

Strong consultative and advisory skills.

Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.

Effective organizational and time management skills.

Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross functional departments.

Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term and long-term basis.

Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management.

Ability to make informal and formal presentations, inside and outside the organization; speaking before assigned team or other groups as needed.

Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.

Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or minimum of five (5) + years’ experience with processing modeling and systems analysis on complex systems, preferably Loan Origination, Banking, and/or Financial systems.
