Job Duties

  • Design marketing materials used to promote LU’s Greek Life community
  • Create a monthly Greek Life newsletter that will be distributed to all members of the Greek community
  • Take pictures/videos at all events held by the Office of Greek Life
  • Assist Office of Greek Life in support of Greek Week events
  • Office support: greet visitors, answer phones, file papers, run errands, record and deliver messages, make copies and fax documents, collect and distribute mail and other documents to various departments, other clerical duties as assigned by SSC professional staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student at Lamar University
  • Must have skills associated with creating marketing materials
  • Must commit to holding this position for the entire Fall 2021 Semester
  • Must be available to hold regular office hours between the hours of 8:00AM-5:00pm Monday – Friday
  • Working nights and weekend are frequent in this position. Applicants must be available to work most nights and weekends as needed.
  • Must be in good academic & conduct standing
  • Must have a current, cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher – must also maintain this during time of employment
  • Must be able and willing to promote the Setzer Student Center and Lamar University in a positive way
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • All SSC student employees must attend staff meetings and trainings as required by their supervisor
  • Must be in good standing with the University
  • Must be a current member of a Greek Lettered organization at Lamar University

Work Hours Up to 19.5 hours per week

  • Must be prepared to work both in and outdoors across campus
