EY’s Strategy and Transactions (SaT)market leading Transaction Strategy and Execution (TSE) team provides advice to corporate and private equity firms who intend to acquire or divest businesses.
Transaction Strategy and Execution (TSE) is a market-leading proposition to create and maximise value for our clients, whether they are acquiring or divesting assets or optimising their portfolio. We work on the most complex and high profile global transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced professionals with a background in Operations and IT who are serial transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As part of our team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions and people.
The opportunity
TheStrategy and Transactionsteam of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Asia (CESA) is experiencing strong growth, resulting in opportunities for talented and ambitious individuals looking to develop a career inTransaction Strategy and Executionservices.
Working in a multi-national environment, the team works on a range of transactions, from local to cross border multinational disposals or acquisitions. Working in this creative environment, you will be given the opportunity to work and take responsibilities on challenging projects, gaining exposure to various sectors.
We are seeking to further expand our team with consultants who work across a range of sectors that include Private Equity, FMCG, Telecoms and Oil & Gas. As a Senior in our team, you’ll advise clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions use your intellectual guile and enthusiasm to apply your technical skills across the M&A transaction lifecycle; including pre-deal diligence, portfolio review and corporate carve-outs & integrations.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior within ourTransaction Strategy and Executionteam, you’d assist in aspects of business origination, including pitches and presentations, and attending meetings with clients to help sell work and work in a transaction environment operating under tight M&A timeframes and demands and be familiar working in a large-scale consulting environment or industry role. As a consultant you’ll advise clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions.

To qualify for the role you must have

Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience of producing and reviewing high calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership.

A track record of successful project delivery in corporate businesses where you are responsible for managing project team members and vendors

Professional services / consulting experience within Transactions: ideally due diligence, carve-out or integrations experience;
Ideally, you’ll also have

Analytically strong, with the ability to link operational analysis to financial statement, and understand the implications of findings to client strategy

Strong team participation skills, particularly teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, coupled with the ability to coach and mentor others

Excellent problem-solving skills

Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas

Professionalism and consistency in approach to client work, internal business and practice development.
