Student Position assisting the Sustainability Operations Coordinator. Tasks are related to sustainability education and programming and engaging with campus community.

Primary Responsibilities
- Engage with students, staff, and faculty about sustainability topics
- Host tabling events to spread awareness about NKU Sustainability
- Host discussion groups with students, staff, and faculty
- Coordinate with community members on sustainability initiatives
- Present to students about sustainability
- Host workshops for students, staff, and faculty on recycling and other topics
- Lead a green team of volunteer students
- Help develop initiatives that support the long-term goals of NKU Sustainability
- Recruit volunteers for events
- Recruit students to join ECOS or other environmental groups on campus
- Work with residential students on proper recycling
- Work with Greek Life and other offices to coordinate volunteer service hours for
sustainability projects
- Lead tours of campus to highlight various sustainability initiatives
- Assist with the 3 community gardens
- Co-manage social media sites
Report to Sustainability Operations Coordinator and assist with projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have interest in and knowledge of sustainability issues and concepts
- Must be a full time student
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experienced with Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Must be dependable and possess excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work on tasks independently once provided instruction
- Must have interest in and knowledge of sustainability issues and concepts
Any candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law
Minimum Education Some College Pay Rate $9.00/hr
