Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing teams of software engineering managers, developers and solution architects to build and enhance an in-house payment processing product. Leads the team by providing guidance and technical direction to ensure high quality and efficient digital solutions are developed. Defines development plans, mentors team members and builds customer centric teams that focus on ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables. Ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities:
Provides hands-on leadership for the design and development of new software products as well as manage the support and day-to-day engineering activities associated with the portfolio.

Collaborate with business and technology leadership, work with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, PMO, DevOps, Security, etc. to enable strategic business objectives

Stays current with new technology trends (Cloud, personalization, microservices, etc.) and identifies opportunities for innovative ideas related to consumer facing technology selection and usage

Works with Product, PMO and business leadership to define and enhance Product portfolios, communicate project progress

Lead teams with Agile mindset with a focus on continuous and incremental delivery of business value, while also implementing systems that are cost effective, scalable, highly performant and reusable

Identifies and allocates engineering resources projects within development; forecasts resource needs and manages budget of projects in their value stream.

Provides input on product direction to product managers; ensures base applications meet appropriate quality standards.

Provides technical guidance to members of the team as appropriate and actively mentors them for career growth and engagement

Coordinates with industry compliance consultants and product managers to verify applications meet regulatory compliance.

Requirements:
Experience supporting, implementing, or planning payments capabilities such as Funds Transfer, ACH, Debit and other related payment processing capabilities,

Experience with scaled agile program planning and delivery including epic/feature refinement, non-functional requirement definition and prioritization

Highly experienced and competent in building cloud native applications (AWS or Azure), with a focus on various near-real time payment processing systems and digital

Experience in implementing highly automated solutions leveraging DevOps, CI/CD and QA Automation

Experience in building highly efficient and self-sustaining engineering teams, with ability to hire, develop, coach and grow team members

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field required and a minimum of fifteen (15) plus years’ experience working in a similar field

Minimum ten (10) + years of management experience preferred

Experience in the Mortgage or financial services industry is a plus
