HERFF JONES, Warehouse Coordinator – Indianapolis, IN
Your Opportunity:
The Herff Jones Warehouse team is looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.
Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact:
The Warehouse Coordinator will support the warehouse and shipping operations by effectively operating on daily procedures in the warehouse and shipping department within our Fine Paper and Covers facilities that produce and create paper graduation product and diploma covers. This role will require maintaining high levels of accuracy in day to day operations and provide exceptional service to both our internal and external partners. We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who will fit with our collaborative culture. This is a Regular Fulltime position with benefit eligibility including, medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), paid time off, and additional voluntary benefits.
Shift: Standard shift is 6:00am – 4:45pm Tuesday through Friday.
Hours fluctuate to ten- and twelve-hour days if needed during peak season including Monday, Saturdays and Sundays if necessary due to customer demand. Seasons vary between January through end of May.
What We Want You to Accomplish:
First 30 days and on:
Successfully pull inventory based on locations on work ticket for items to be produced or shipped.
Maintain inventory within the warehouse and ERP system.
Completion of training to operate a forklift safely.
First 60 days and on:
Cycle count material to maintain accurate inventory levels
First 120 days and on:
Assist with standardizing warehouse operations to achieve +95% inventory accuracy levels
What You’ll Be Doing On A Daily Basis:
Ensure all product is flowing in and out of the warehouse and on shipping lines.
Pick and move inventory through facility safely and efficiently.
Read and understand work tickets.
Report inventory discrepancies and assist Senior Warehouse Coordinator on reconciliation plans.
Work on additional task/projects and support in other departments when assigned.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
High School or GED.
Successfully helped implement inventory control practices within a facility.
Understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles to promote process improvement.
General knowledge of cost-effective inventory principles.
Experience on utilizing ERP systems, preferable Oracle environments.
Previous warehouse experience.
Forklift operations a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Daily activity includes but is not limited to lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting
Reading, communication, simple math
Standing on a fatigue mat in a specific area throughout a 10 hour+ shift
Be able to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to above
