HERFF JONES, Wax Injector – Warwick, RI
YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
The Herff Jones Operations team, based in Warwick, RI is looking for a Wax Injector to join our team.
Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact:
Reporting to the Manager of Wax and Casting, you will be responsible for performing manual labor along a production line and will efficiently operate the wax injection process and machine. As a cross-training function, you may also be trained to operate a computer-aided engraving process and machine, to engrave lettering and ornamental designs onto the rings.

But don’t worry, we would never ask an employee to take on an assignment they didn’t already have the right skill sets they needed to succeed. As we see it for right now, however, here are the challenges that we want you to tackle:
Responsible for quality control. Making adjustments as necessary to produce wax rings within specifications. Rejects wax rings outside of specifications.
Operates within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Responsible for reading and identifying information located on the shop copies and ring dies.
Assembles ring dies according to customer requirements.
Operates production line machinery. (Primarily the Mueller Phipps Wax Injector Machine).
Monitors instruments and adjust controls to regulate the speed and temperature of the wax injection machines.
Ability to make precise cuts on excess wax using an exacto knife.
Completing daily production logs
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
A minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing setting performing similar production line duties in addition to meeting the following requirements:
Education / Certifications Required – high school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and write in English is required.
Multi-tasking skills
Strong communication skills
Excellence organizational and recorded keeping skills are critical.
Must be able to work overtime and on Saturdays during busy seasons.
Ability to establish priorities and work independently.
Ability to work well with people having different ethnic, social, or educational backgrounds; understand the cultural differences of different groups.
Physical Qualifications:
Near Vision: The ability to see details at close range.
Control Precision: The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to get to the exact positions.
Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
