Role Description / Areas of responsibility:
The position is an analyst/associate role in Market Risk Management covering US Rates. The Market Risk Management group serves as an independent oversight function to measure and monitor market risk through quantitative and qualitative analysis. The role is front office facing, requiring strong communication and an ability to learn in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Continuous monitoring of risk exposures, trading activity, limit utilization, recap of markets, P&L and Risk.

Analysis of risk analytics used for trading desk risk management and VaR, economic and regulatory capital.

Ad-hoc stress analysis, detailed risk review of risk exposures.

Coverage of one or more of the following markets: US Treasury, Swaps, Inflation, Repo and IR Options.

Requires frequent collaboration with Research, Quants, Technology, Product Control and Operations.

Regular interaction with trading desk to discuss risk profile, markets, limit setting and risk appetite.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required

Must have: strong background in Excel, VBA and Python.

Prefer 1-3 years of experience in Rates markets preferred with an understanding risk analytics (greeks, VaR, etc.).

Good understanding of market dynamics, and macro economics.

Background in US Treasury, Swaps, Inflation, Options or Repo markets is a plus.

Experience in eTrading and Algo trading platforms.

Comfort working in a fast-paced environment as part of a flat organizational structure.

Decent communication skills (both written and verbal) as the candidate will be working with a large number of groups within Risk and outside of Risk.
