HERFF JONES, Office Coordinator – Arcola, IL

YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
The Herff Jones Cap & Gown team, based in Arcola, IL is looking for an Office Coordinator to join our team.

Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative aspects of the office area within the Cap & Gown Manufacturing/Operations plant. We are looking for someone who can excel in dynamic environment that challenges you to learn new things every day, and where you are encouraged to go above and beyond to expand your impact.

But don’t worry, we would never ask an employee to take on an assignment they didn’t already have the right skill sets they needed to succeed. As we see it for right now, however, here are the challenges that we want you to tackle:

Provide high-level administrative and operational support to all departments and the local leadership team.

Assist with metric reporting, training sessions, candidate interviews, new hire onboarding, and time and attendance tracking.

Help plan and coordinate employee events, meetings, and conference calls.

Create and maintain plant communications including plant-wide email announcements, newsletters, etc.

Serve as the “Director of First Impressions” at the front desk and provide responsive, jovial interactions with visitors.

Support and field entry-level questions from employees and escalate them to the appropriate person.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:
1+ year of administrative experience in addition to meeting the following requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Teams, Outlook)

Proven ability to build relationships in a cross functional environment

Multitask and prioritize efficiently

Maintain performance in fast-paced environment

A strong attention to detail and accuracy and passionate about processes
