Student Government Program Assistant & Greek Life Coordinator

POSITION: STUDENT GOVERNMENT PROGRAM ASSISTANT

SALARY: P16 $44,628.85 – $62,788.15

LOCATION: CAMPUS LIFE DEPARTMENT

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Center for Leadership and Engagement and the Coordinator of Leadership and Student Government, the Student Government Program Assistant serves as the general office manager and receptionist. The Program Assistant is responsible for performing functions using established policies, procedures, precedents and guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages all administrative tasks for SGA including but limited to vendor management, food orders, purchases for events and office space and supplies;

Maintain records, materials and other documents related to Student Government

Tracks all transactions made by Clubs and Organizations

Assists in the event planning process for the Student Government Association,

Places all food and event orders for Student Government Association, Student Activities Board and Clubs/Organizations

Maintains essential records and files

Greek Life Responsibilities

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Greek Letter organizations and unaffiliated organizations recognized by the Center for Student Involvement

Oversight and management of the University’s Greek Life standards and regulations, which includes policy development accountability, conduct matters, retention, community service, and scholastic achievement of all Greek-letter organizations. Evaluates and recommends proactive and efficient policies and procedures in line with best practices in the field

Serve as Advisor of the Inter Greek Council

Assist the Director of the Center of Leadership & Engagement in maintaining accurate and current records of membership, conduct matters, retention, community service, and scholastic achievement of all Greek-letter organizations

Coordination and oversight of formal and informal Greek Life recruitment/intake processes, including implementing mandated workshops for all prospective members and recruitment chairs

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree

NOTE: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute experience on a year for year basis.

NOTE: Applicants who possess an Associate’s degree may substitute two (2) years of position-related experience for the remaining two (2) years of education.
