Job Description
Provides coordination, guidance and implementation of the student code of conduct. Advocates for students, to consult and work with individual students and student groups, and to work with other campus offices. Serves as a resource and liaison for students and parents. Assess at-risk students for additional intervention by appropriate
personnel such as Counseling and academic support.
Counsels students in academic, personal, and disciplinary matters. Evaluates the effectiveness of key programs and systems using research methodology, design assessment tools and protocols. Develops interventions to reduce inappropriate behaviors and increase positive behaviors
Collects data, prepares and distributes statistical reports regarding key programmatic areas, and analyzes trends.
Develops departmental reports regarding case statistics and other information.
Designs and implements databases appropriate for record-keeping; develops
and maintains website information for key constituents.
Creates, revises and oversees university policies, practices and procedures in key program areas such as judicial affairs, fraternity and sorority life, housing, cheerleading and student leadership development. Development and maintenance of the student affairs website; editing and oversight of student affairs publications. Assists students with problem solving and making appropriate referrals.
Serves on campus threat assessment team. Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
Requires a Master’s degree in Higher Education or a related field of study with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in student/greek life, judicial affairs, supervision, and/or counseling/conflict management. Must have the ability to manage and supervise areas in Student Affairs, exercise sound judgment and work with a diverse student population. Ability to analyze data; good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
