Duties: Work as part of the Equity Derivative Middle Office supporting trading businesses (stock, FX, listed derivatives, and equity derivatives) including providing control and support to the North American and Latin America Flow Equity Derivative trading desks. Responsible for maintaining the control environment, trade capture, lifecycle maintenance, corporate action processing, complex product booking and processing, implementing complex (Equity Derivative) trading and operational support architecture and assist in testing release of complex equity derivative pricing and trading technology systems. Responsible for equity derivatives transactions such as Listed options, OTC options, Index futures, FX forwards, and interest rate swaps. Liaise with traders and counterparties to ensure accuracy in trade capture, including input trade tickets in the systems. Adjust derivative products upon the announcement of corporate actions. Support lifecycle management and events processing for full population of derivative positions. Evaluate P&L when performing unwinds, index rebalancing, basis swap reset and valuation. Analyze risks (Greeks) and investigate any failure, mismatch or error in the trade capture process. Assist the launch of new products by applying product expertise and knowledge. Provide support or resolve any ad hoc queries such as trade and confirmation details arising from traders, counterparties, clients, Regulatory Authorities, and other departments. Communicate with Credit Risk Manager on credit issues. Coordinate with different parties, such as Market Risk, Product Control, and Business Management on system enhancement or launch of new product.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum experience required: 4 years of experience in trade support for Equity Derivatives or related experience. Employer will accept experience gained prior to the completion of a Bachelor’s degree.
Skills Required: Demonstrated knowledge of expiry, early exercise, and assignment processing for US listed options. Experience validating profit / loss and delta on new option bookings. Demonstrated knowledge of trade parameters and lifecycle events for otc options. Experience identifying changes required on listed and otc options as a result of corporate actions. Demonstrated knowledge of the different standard equity derivative parameters for US and LATAM markets. Experience identifying risk and impact of trade support tasks in order to properly prioritize. Demonstrated knowledge of priority listed and Over-The-Counter option infrastructure to drive and test technology changes. Excel experience.
