HERFF JONES, CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT – Seasonal
YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
The Herff Jones Cap and Gown team, based in Arcola IL, is looking for a seasonal customer service support to join our team.
Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact:
Reporting to customer service supervisor, as a team member of the department you will be required to learn all positions to provide optimal production in the department. Flexibility is necessary to perform other functions as needed. This includes, but not limited to, warehouse pick/pack duties, inventory related activities, and cross-training opportunities in other departments. Must be able to work all mandatory overtime.

As we see it for right now, however, here are the challenges that we want you to tackle:
Creates item codes and descriptions for both keeper and rental products
Works with Customer Service Account Representatives and mfg to ensure codes are set up correctly
Calculates correct net pricing for new items created
Add codes to appropriate price lists and assigns correct commissions
Checks the “New items created” report daily
Assist with code clean up if required
Assist with pricing updates during reorg
Cross train on other Support duties
Assist with mailings and updating processes.
Collates paperwork, filing, and other basic clerical duties.
Or other job duties as assigned

Demonstrated ability to orchestrate resources to the desired end.
Effective problem solver capable of maintaining composure and a positive attitude in demanding circumstances.
Great attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to communicate, influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization.
Excellent listening, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
Good working knowledge of PC and related software programs.
Physical strength and dexterity to perform essential job functions.
Job may require lifting but not to exceed 30 pounds.
Education /Technical Skills Required
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 to 2 years related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. It is necessary to type a minimum of 40 words per minute and has experience with personal computers. Knowledge of Word and Excel preferred. Must have a positive attitude and work well with others
The candidate will also have the ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural documents.
The candidate must have the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
