Serve as part of the Sorority and Fraternity Life team within the Office of the Dean of Students developing, and facilitating educational and leadership programs, advising chapter and council leaders, and serving as a resource for a dynamic sorority and fraternity community with over 6500 members.

Responsibilities
Actively participate in the planning and implementation of area programs within Sorority and Fraternity Life which may include workshop facilitation, large scale event coordination, co-teaching an upper-division leadership course, oversight of writing and editing content for web and print media, oversight of office communications, program evaluation and assessment.
Actively support individual sorority and fraternity chapter presidents through coaching including providing best practices for recruitment, new member education and risk management, interpretation of relevant university policies and procedures, organization discipline, and mutual agreement administration.
Advise up to two councils and their member organizations, related committees and programs, and stakeholders that represent the community. Assist in the coordination and support of council recruitment efforts. Advise council leaders and officers on calendar planning, programming support, risk management, governing document review, leadership development, and academic support.
Design, implement, and evaluate leadership development opportunities for sorority and fraternity members and community constituents through retreats, institutes, workshops and programs.
Oversee the strategic direction of cultural competency initiatives for SFL students and staff including but not limited to trainings, programs, and assessment. Research, design and create educational content for use by sorority and fraternity members, governing councils, and/or stakeholders.
Represent Sorority and Fraternity Life on Division of Student Affairs and University committees, task forces, campus orientations, resource fairs, and requested speaking engagements. Serve as a member of the Sorority and Fraternity Life administrative team by coordinating or assisting in related administrative and programmatic functions as assigned.
Train, supervise, and evaluate a graduate assistant and/or undergraduate student employees or interns.
Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience developing, administering, and implementing programs for college students. Experience advising student groups, in student personnel or student services. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively students, faculty, administration, and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to successfully work with a diverse community and provide programs and services from a non-judgmental perspective. Professional demeanor. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including presentations, written correspondence, and reports. Attention to detail. Membership in a nationally affiliated Greek-lettered organization. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with a graduate degree in student affairs administration or related field who have prior experience with sorority and fraternity organizations on both a local and national level. At least three years of professional experience working with student groups to provide advising, program planning, interpretation of institutional policies, risk management and leadership development opportunities. Knowledge of student development theory and experience with student affairs assessment or program evaluation. Experience with fraternities and sororities across various council communities including men, women, and culturally based groups. Demonstrated strategic and innovative approaches to problem solving. Experience with classroom instruction and facilitation. Experience supervising professional and para-professional staff. Experience building partnerships and collaborating across departments in a post-secondary institution.
Salary Range
$50,000 non-negotiable
