Position Title: Demand Planner

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Demand Planner is responsible for managing all activities associated with forecasting and product demand. This role will play a key part in driving the brand review process by partnering with other supply chain functions at corporate level, as well as regional sales, marketing, product, and finance teams. This person will create and manage SKU level forecasts to help drive the growth of Thélios North America Wholesale division.

The Demand Planner will review forecasts performance by Brand/SKU/Sales channel, focusing on new product introduction, and best sellers. She/he will partner with the Inventory Planner to optimize inventory levels to help achieve financial objectives (maximizing sales potential, minimizing loss from phase-outs and stock-outs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage new product launches as well as transitions with existing products.

Participate and monitor new item development process as well as revisions to existing products

Manage all SKU demand param settings.

Manage product launches at the customer & SKU level and be an advocate for assigned accounts timing and load-in needs.

Ensure effective new product introduction through solid statistical models and coordination of Go to Market activities.

Review and analyze historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and develop statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results.

Coordinate cross-functional research activities to identify significant variances in demand and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.

Interact with sales, marketing, inventory to understand what drives demand forecasts.

Provide input to the supply-planning organization in order to develop inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.

Conduct monthly forecast maintenance in order to maintain up to date with upcoming trends.

Conducts and provides analysis of key performance indicators (KPI) among product lines, accounts, and COT’s

Foster consensus and collaboration in the planning process through working with the Sales, Product, Marketing and Corporate Planning teams

SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Planning role (ideally Demand Planning)

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to forecast, analyze and prepare statistical data and metrics

Ability to manage/mine data from multiple sources to create necessary reports and databases

Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Ability to extract conclusions from available data and tell a story to support the idea.

Prior experience with planning software (such as SAP, DPM, APO) is preferred

Must demonstrate expert PC skills, especially MS Excel and Access is a must

Demonstrated experience in creative problem solving

Experience and understanding of fashion industry a plus
