We are currently seeking full time Sommeliers to join our team!

Position Summary:
The Sommelier is responsible for the management of the wine and beverage program. The sommelier will partner with the Restaurant Director and support operational activities and ensure high quality of service.

Key Responsibilities and duties

Manage and oversee all aspects of the restaurant wine and beverage program, inclusive of ordering, inventory, organization and cost management;

Develop and execute wine and beverage training programs for all employees to improve their knowledge of wine tasting and wine service;

Support the management team with ensuring a state-of-the-art service delivery;

Assist with daily operational duties, inclusive of reporting and opening/closing procedures;

Coordinate restaurant front of house actions, being responsible for a smooth and effective collaboration across staff and exceeding guests’ expectations;

Lead by example to promote a positive and professional team environment that fosters trust, integrity and superior performance standards;

Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to service team members to ensure ongoing development, engagement and motivation

Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and procedures

Greet and welcome guests in a professional manner and positive attitude

Manage eventual clients’ complaints exceeding their expectations

Oversee and proactively deal with guest requests and complaints;

Maintain a clean work environment.

Job Requirements

3+ years of experience in the hospitality industry in a sommelier role.

Previous experience in fine dining preferred

Proven knowledge of food and beverage pairings;

Solid understanding of pricing, budgets and cost management;

Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Second language preferred.

Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;

Professional grooming and appearance;

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, people-management skills;

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes evenings, weekends and holidays;
