HERFF JONES, Wax Sizer – Warwick, RI
Job Summary:
Proficiently resizes the wax rings.
Specific Responsibilities:
Breaks slabs of wax and deposits them into the melting pots.
Selects the appropriate arbors needed according to the style of the rings.
Responsible for quality control. Making adjustments as necessary to produce wax rings within specifications. Rejects wax rings outside of specifications.
Operates within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Responsible for reading and identifying information located on the shop copies and ring dies.
Monitors instruments and adjust controls to regulate the speed and temperature of the wax injection machines.
Ability to make precise cuts on excess wax using an exacto knife.
Completing daily production logs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/ GED equivalent suggested
Ability to read and write in English is required.
Multi-tasking skills
Strong communication skills
Excellence organizational and recorded keeping skills are critical.
Must be able to distinguish between the different styles of rings.
Must be able to work overtime and on Saturdays during busy seasons.
Ability to establish priorities and work independently.
Ability to work well with people having different ethnic, social, or educational backgrounds; understand the cultural differences of different groups.
Physical Demands:
Near Vision: The ability to see details at close range.
Control Precision: The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to get to the exact positions.
Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
